Bloomsbury will forever be associated in the popular imagination with Harry Potter, the fictional character which made the publisher's fortune. But there is a lot more to the company than bespectacled wizards, Bloomsbury have published some of the finest writers around, including Neil Gaimon, Michael Ondaatje and Margaret Atwood.

The website feaures a set of homepages for Bloomsbury authors, including an author biography, a list of the author's books plus a set of links to other material such as audio extracts, videos, readers' guides and links to external sites. Some entries for more obscure authors are a little thin in content, but such is the bitter price of obscurity.

You can buy directly from the Bloomsbury shop, with discounts of up to 25% and given the range of authors they call their own, there's quite choice. Bloomsbury also has its own channel on YouTube, featuring a variety of author interviews. The Twitter feed has an inevitably prime location in the middle of the homepage so there is little chance you will miss out on the latest news.
