January 2012: Weekly Wrinkle
Are you thinking of getting botox? Divorced and lonely? Set up by business woman, Carolyn Hadden-Paton and her friend Lotte Lorimer, Weekly Wrinkle is an e-newsletter and blog that fills an obvious gap in the market for women in the oft-neglected forty-plus age bracket, offering everything from cosmetic advice, style tips, travel nuggets and lifestyle guidance to women of a certain age.
APPROACHABLE AND FRIENDLY
Thoroughly researched and regularly updated, Weekly Wrinkle is designed in an approachable, friendly and straightforward way that makes life easy for even the most tech-averse visitors, of which there must be a few. This is a clever idea that caters to women who are not only over the age of forty, but are possessed of a certain income and social position in life. It's not all ladies that lunch though, for alongside the plush holidays, spa treatments and fashion, tricky subjects such as depression, eating disorders and cancer are tackled with confidence and humour while information and features on theatre, books, exhibitions and courses cater to more cultural interests.
BLACK BOOK
The editorial content on Weekly Wrinkle is excellent, but it's the Black Book - an elegant guide to in-the-know goods, shops and services - that really steals the show and makes this blog worth bookmarking and re-visiting time and time again. You'll soon find you simply can't live without it.
