February 2009: dot.life

Blog of the Month for February is the BBC's dot.life, a blog about technology. It's written by three different people, Beeb stalwart Rory Cellan-Jones, who is currently the BBC's technology correspondent, Darren Waters, editor of the technology section of the BBC website and Maggie Shiels, a technology reporter for the BBC based in Silicon Valley, California.

The blog is straightforward, offering news and views from the digital world. If the number of comments on the blogs are anything to go by, dot.life has quite a following. With good reason. As befits the BBC, the information is presented in a clear and accessible way, which, given the subject matter is a relief. Too much writing on technology is tough for the lay reader or non-Geek to get through. This is a place which those with only a vague passing interest in the laptops and i-Pods that circle and surround them will enjoy coming to.

You'll find all sorts here: videos, interviews, TV and radio reports, reviews of new technology, speculation, gossip and through it all, a real enthusiasm for the subject.
