Glastonbury may be a hazy, sun-drenched memory now but there are plenty more festivals to come. Up and down the country, the Great British public will be pitching tents, digging out the fancy dress and having themselves a good time in a field for a few months yet. Here are some sites to help you enjoy yourself – come rain or shine – this festival season.

ONE STOP FESTIVAL

This brilliant site really does what it says on the tin! Here you can buy tents, mats, waterproofs, wellies, henna tattoos, neon paints, masks and more. Perhaps their most useful products are the range of festival survival kits, such as the Essential Festival Survival Kit Deluxe, which includes body wash, shampoo, earplugs, glow sticks, a charger and more. At £29.99, it could be a great present for a festival friend, perhaps?

BBC WEATHER

Those who have attended British Festivals before will know that the weather can be... interesting. Forewarned is forearmed, as they say, so make sure you have checked the weather reports, downloaded this app, and packed accordingly.

FIND MY TENT

Come on, we’ve all done it. We are not proud of it but it is as easy to lose your tent as it is to forget where you’ve parked in a multi-storey car park. It is no big deal. Even better, with this app, it won’t happen any more. All you do is “save” the location of your tent when you’ve pitched it, roam the festival (with your phone close at hand) and let your phone guide you back to your tent when it’s time to turn in. Simple.

GOCARSHARE FESTIVAL

Not keen on public transport option? Don’t have a car of your own? Well, how about car-sharing instead? With GoCarShare, you can connect with drivers who have space in their car for an extra bottom or two. A much better solution for your stress levels, and for the environment, too! You never know, you might even make some new friends while you are at it…

FIRST AID BY BRITISH RED CROSS

This app could literally be a life-saver. The heat, the crowds, the dehydration – there are countless reasons why first aid might be required at a festival. Imagine if you could access clear and concise first-aid advice at the touch of your screen? Well, you can…

FESTIVAL KIDZ

Newsflash! Having children doesn’t have to spell the end of your festival-going days. Festival Kidz is a site dedicated to helping families get the best out of attending festivals with their offspring. It offers excellent advice on wagons, festival kit, entertainment, fancy dress and more.

CLASHFINDER

This site ensures that you don’t miss out on the things you really want to see at your favourite festival. A clashfinder is a free, printable timetable for music festivals all over the world. Clashfinders are created by the community for the community, so you can access other festival-goers’ ready-made clashfinders – or you can use the site to make your own bespoke festival timetable.

DAILY WATER-DRINK REMINDER

Obviously, you tend to have far too much fun at the festival to think about your hydration levels. But you will be happier and safer if you do. So you are going to love us for introducing you to this app, which helps you to track the quantity of water you drink and reminds you to drink it at the right time.
