The Judges

We have another stellar line up of judges, industry experts, who are lending their support to this year's GWG Website of the Year Awards. The judging panel will assess entries on the quality of design, usability, content and product or service evident within each site put forward.


Anna Bance is the co-founder of online luxury rental company, Girl Meets, an e-commerce business that allows customers to rent the latest designer dresses and accessories for a fraction of the retail price. Described by Vogue as The Answer to your Prayers, Anna has been busy pioneering the way forward for rental as a new and exciting ecommerce category of its own. Girl Meets raised a round of financing from Global Founders Capital, the $200M fund from Rocket Internet's Samwer brothers and former Delivery Hero co-CEO.

Bobbie Bhogal is a serial entrepreneur within the online commerce space, owning multiple brands and selling diverse products from mobile phones to luxury holidays and pet insurance. Having gained corporate experience from Mercedes Benz and Vodafone, Bobbie ignited his entrepreneurial spirit and co-founded, a mobile phone e-tailer in 1999. Now at the helm of, Bobbie leads a 150 strong team that contributes greatly towards the rise of smartphone adoption in the UK.

Sam Crocker is Digital Director at the mission™, headline sponsor of this year's GWG Website of the Year Awards. With over 14 years' experience working in digital marketing, Sam has led a number of digital transformation initiatives and worked with clients including Post Office, Intel, BP, Freederm, Castrol and Wrigley. Responsible for the strategic direction and delivery of digital projects, Sam has worked on everything from apps and ecommerce websites to networked screens in retail and e-learning courses. Dr Stephen Fear is an English entrepreneur, businessman, philanthropist and author with over 40 years international business experience. Today Fear has an established property empire and interests in a number of industries, including green technology, hotels, residential care and manufacturing. Often referred to as ‘The Phonebox Millionaire', Fear is also notable for being an Ambassador and Entrepreneur in Residence at the British Library; a position formerly held by the late Dame Anita Roddick. In July 2013, Fear was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Business Administration from the University of the West of England for his continued service to Entrepreneurs and Entrepreneurship.

Ben Hopkins is a business growth consultant, co-founder of Naked Wines and Non-Executive Director of Ecotricity's Green Britain Centre. Having delivered over 750,000 new customers to the online wine industry, Ben set up, the business growth consultancy he runs from his Norfolk home and London. John Regan is a serial entrepreneur who specialises in business services. He has founded three companies and built them from one person operations into thriving businesses turning over millions of pounds.
