Ski in Luxury

Rachel Wilson, ski specialist and head of PR at Ski in Luxury, chooses some favourite chalets.

Ski in Luxury majors on the word ‘luxury’ as you’ll never find a more upmarket portfolio of chalets than here. With luxury ski chalets in major European ski resorts, including Chamonix, Val d’Isere, Courchevel, Morzine, Zermatt and Verbier, this is the site to visit when planning a mega luxe skiing holiday. Here, Rachel Wilson, ski specialist and head of PR, chooses some all-time favourites.

VAL D'ISERE: Chalet Le Kiliminjaro

This chalet holds a special place in my heart as it is the first chalet that I stayed in on my first familiarisation trip with Ski In Luxury. Nestled in the exclusive Legettaz region of Val d'Isere the chalet oozes luxury and comfort. The service is phenomenal and I can highly recommend the chalet from my own personal experience. Val d'Isere is also a fantastic resort with something for everyone.

TIGNES: Chalet Quezac

I think my office colleagues sometimes get a little sick and tired of me going on and on about how much I love this chalet. It's just so cool and modern. It is owned by French rally driver and professional skier Guerlain Chicherit and he has well and truly put his stamp on the property. Tignes offers great skiing and is such a great snow sure resort thanks to the Tignes glacier.

VERBIER: Chalet Truffe Blanche

Before joining Ski In Luxury I would try to envisage what the ultimate in luxury chalets would look like. Within my first week at the company I came across the chalet from that vision, Chalet Truffe Blanche located in Verbier. It really is just a fairy-tale dream property with everything you could ever imagine from a ski chalet. Verbier is an exclusive resort, a regular haunt for the rich and famous.

ZERMATT: Luxus Chalet

Purely and simply, I've chosen this chalet because it has a hot tub on hydrolics. It glides up beautifully through the property before breaking through the roof enabling its passengers to enjoy the phenomenal views over the stunning resort of Zermatt and of course the infamous Matterhorn mountain. The rest of the chalet offers a contemporary and modern design which is very fitting for the uber-chic resort of Zermatt.

MORZINE: White Valley Lodge

I think this chalet really is picture perfect, it's the sort of chalet that I would buy if I could afford it. I love the chocolate box look of it. It also offers some beautiful views overlooking Morzine from a fantastic outdoor terrace hot tub. Morzine is possibly my favourite resort of all time. It has something for everyone and the transfer time from Geneva is only an hour and a half.

MERIBEL: Chalet Chopine

This chalet is dog friendly! I have a dog myself and it's important that he is treated as part of the family. I love the fact that I can take him on a ski holiday with me to Chalet Chopine. Meribel as a resort is also renowned for being very family friendly which includes our canine family.
