Now usually we highlight several apps in one go, but this week we’ve stumbled across one that deserves a whole feature to itself; give it up for brand new app Fixr. Dubbed ‘nightlife for the digital generation’, it's the brainchild of two dedicated developers Nick Stone and Edmund Glover and their trusty team; one Henry Conway (a high profile night owl if ever there was one), Dominic Marmont (the techno-geek making sure it all runs smoothly), and Hugh Huddleston, an expert (and trusted) adviser to high growth businesses.

And of course to befit an app that does for the humble nightclub goer what all manner of prayers will never achieve; i.e. organising your entire night out (including unrivalled access to the best clubs) all through your trusty handset, the app needed the launch party to match - and boy did they get it - in the form of a high profile event at uber-chic Japanese eaterie Nobu Berkeley.

They came, they saw, they drank and most important of all they downloaded – yes the list of celebs at the Tuesday night bash had to be seen to be believed; amongst the bright young things were Amber Le Bon on the decks, Jamie Campbell Bower (he of Twilight fame) England Rugby Player James Haskell, Nate Jones, Bip Ling, Pips Taylor, Rosie Fortescue, Zoe, Hardman and Heidi Range to name but a few.

But what of the app itself? Well it’s just a gloriously simple addition to your app list with its bright red interface, replete with advance and on the night tickets – to remove the serious stress from the queue to your favourite London nightspots.

Nick Stone said: “The opportunity around nightlife and mobile is incredibly exciting. The digital generation want to use their smartphones to arrange their night out, without having to search multiple apps or websites. FIXR puts everything in one place, allowing users to make an informed choice and saving them time in the process.”

Edmund Glover said: “The most successful apps are all about making life easier for the consumer. We wanted to bring that philosophy to nightlife; after all, people going to nightclubs are amongst the most app-literate of anyone.”

We say – download it now.
