The Three Choirs Vineyards can be found in the heart of Gloucestershire. It is the leading (and most awarded) single estate vineyard in the UK and has brought cachet back to English wine making after an absence of 900 years.
Visit this wine lovers' paradise amongst its 75 acres by either taking a tour or staying in the hotel. Details of visiting are online. In the Visitor Centre you can enjoy tastings and learn about how they have combined new technology and traditional skills to produce award winning wine. Guided tours are run daily from 1st March. You can also buy wine from the shop as well as online. Adopting a vine for a wine lover makes a very different present.
To make a visit even more memorable, stay the night in one of the hotel's eight rooms. Let the head chef, Darren Leonard, delight you with his cooking. Paddy Burt of The Saturday Telegraph's column, Room Service, was most impressed, saying that 'the menu is both different and interesting.'
The vineyard also runs day cookery courses, details of which can be found on the site. be the first to write a mini-review for this site! |
