Dubit

Every teenager should know about dubit.co.uk but with over 280,000 members a good deal must know of it already. What makes this website so popular with teenagers?
Started in 1999 by Adam Hildreth and some of his fourteen year old friends investing their pocket money, Dubit has grown into a successful internet business with teenagers at its heart, specialising in marketing to that age group.
The site offers a number of things but it is principally a place where teenagers can hang out, make friends and catch up on gossip. Dubit Island is the 3D chat room, where customisable characters can create their own space to chat and message each other. There are message boards, competitions, downloadable games and email stationery.
The DubitCard for under 18s gives members discounts on pizzas, cinema tickets, blags and freebies.
