Everything about
Philippa Craddock speaks of quality from the choice of plants and pots down to the exquisite packaging, all beautifully photographed, making this the site to come to when looking for a lasting gift.
QUALITY AND STYLEPhilippa Craddock sources the best plants for both quality and style, working closely with a select group of specialist suppliers, many of whom are award winners at Chelsea. The range of
plant gifts on offer changes with the season and so you can expect a good mix from miniature rose bushes, cottage garden lavender, Japanese skimmia, orange trees, a little box full of chillies to festive offerings of Poinsettia and a miniature Christmas tree.
Plants arrive in Philippa's signature white opal glass pots, which are then stylishly packaged in aubergine and lime gift boxes. Customers can re-use these boxes at home and to date, they've been put to use as hat boxes, storage solutions and a coffee table. Every plant arrives with care instructions, along with a personalised message. As a thank you, a handmade paper shaped plant pot of wild flower seeds is included with every plant. This is a truly personal service with Philippa overseeing each order.
Once the plants have been enjoyed indoors, they can be transferred to a garden or window box and the glass pot used for something else.
Prices range from £39 to £75 and standard UK delivery by courier costs £8, taking two days. You could treat a friend to Plants for a Year, a subscription costing £220 where they will receive a chic plant gift box every three months.
If you're planning multiple orders going to different delivery addresses, you will need to process your orders individually.
WEDDINGSPhilippa Craddock has an inspirational approach to designing flowers for
weddings from hand-tied bouquets to full installations, advising on colour schemes and dressing the whole venue if required. Where possible, the company likes to use plants within the design so that they can be planted out after the event. The company works within London, East and West Sussex, Surrey, Kent and Hampshire. She also undertakes corporate contracts and gifts.
ABOUT PHILIPPAPhilippa launched the company in 2009 after a fruitless search for the perfect wedding gift for a family friend. She understands the importance of both the quality of the gift and its delivery in a chic box. The company is run from Philippa's home, Pheasants Hatch, a part Tudor country house in Sussex, where the gardens have been open to the public for the past fifty years, as part of the National Garden Scheme.
GROWAFORESTThe company donates a percentage of profits to the charity,
www.growaforest.com, dedicated to reversing CO2 emissions by planting native trees in the UK.
