Hedgehogs are very active at the moment, hanging out in singles bars and so on. They eat plenty of slugs and snails, so avoid endangering them by using slug pellets – sharp grit around susceptible plants is preferable – and place stones at the edges of ponds in case they feel like a drink (easier than making them little life jackets). Check strawberry nets daily to make sure they haven’t become entangled. |
